All Saturday work will be billed at 1.5 times the applicable standard rate.
All Sunday work will be billed at 2.0 times the applicable standard rate.
The minimum charge for a service call is 4 hours.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation or rescheduling with less than one business day’s notice will result in a minimum 4-hour service charge. Same-day cancellation or rescheduling will result in a minimum 8-hour service charge.
Customer is also responsible for any non-refundable travel, lodging, transportation, or other expenses incurred by KES Machine.
Travel and Expenses
Travel-related and other project expenses are billed at cost plus 10%. Airfare, lodging, rental vehicles, tolls, parking, freight, and other necessary travel expenses are additional unless specifically included in the quotation.
Customer Readiness and Standby Time
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the machine and work area are available and ready for service at the scheduled time.
Standby or delay time will be billed at the applicable hourly rate when work is delayed due to conditions outside KES Machine’s control, including but not limited to unavailable machines, production delays, unavailable customer personnel, restricted site access, missing utilities, tooling, lifting equipment, documentation, passwords, programs, or required safety access.
If a return visit is required because the machine, facility, or other customer-provided requirement was not ready or available, additional service, travel, and expenses will be billed separately.
Additional Work
Work outside the quoted scope requires customer authorization and will be billed at the applicable service rate plus parts, materials, travel, and expenses.
Troubleshooting and diagnostic time is billable regardless of whether the condition can be fully repaired during the service visit.
Parts, Materials, and Outside Services
Parts, materials, consumables, freight, expedited shipping, equipment rental, rigging, subcontracted services, and OEM support are additional unless specifically included in the quotation.
Machine Data and Backups
The customer is responsible for maintaining current backups of CNC parameters, PLC programs, machine programs, offsets, tooling data, and other machine data before KES Machine begins work. KES Machine is not responsible for loss of data that was not properly backed up prior to service.
Calibration and Machine Accuracy
Calibration, inspection, and measurement services represent the condition of the machine at the time the measurements are performed. Calibration or adjustment does not constitute a guarantee of future machine accuracy, process capability, or finished-part quality unless expressly stated in writing.
Machine performance may be affected by temperature, foundation conditions, tooling, fixturing, machine condition, operator practices, environmental conditions, maintenance, and other factors outside KES Machine’s control.
Safety and Site Conditions
The customer is responsible for providing a safe working environment and informing KES Machine personnel of applicable site-specific safety requirements and known hazards.
KES Machine reserves the right to suspend work when conditions are considered unsafe. Resulting standby time, travel, or return visits may be billed at the applicable rates.
Payment and Taxes
Payment terms are Net 30 unless otherwise stated in writing. Applicable sales, use, or other taxes are additional unless the customer provides valid exemption documentation.
Authorization and Acceptance
Issuance of a purchase order, written authorization to proceed, or allowing KES Machine personnel to begin work constitutes acceptance of these Service Terms and Conditions.
Any conflicting or additional terms contained in a customer’s purchase order or other document will not modify these terms unless specifically accepted in writing by KES Machine.
Warranty and Limitation of Liability
KES Machine warrants that its services will be performed in a professional manner consistent with generally accepted industry practices.
KES Machine is not responsible for pre-existing machine conditions, normal wear, failures of customer-supplied or OEM components, or conditions arising after completion of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KES Machine will not be liable for consequential or indirect damages, including lost production, lost profits, loss of use, scrap, missed delivery commitments, or customer production losses.
